On April 1, 2025, Elaine Cercado, Founder and Managing Director of POWERinU Training & Coaching LLP, had the joy and honor of collaborating with her long-time colleague and friend, Cecilia Chiew Beltran, SEA Senior Director of Wesco Anixter, during a Technology Lunch & Learn session hosted for their partner, Lantrovision (S) Ltd.
Cecilia wanted to complement the usual technology discussions with her team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) by introducing a segment on soft skills—also known as power skills—believing it would be a valuable addition to their joint goal deployment plans.
Elaine was invited as a guest facilitator to co-present and share practical tools and leadership frameworks from N.E.W.S.® Navigation, a global leadership and transformation partner. The goal was to help the BDMs build critical skills for leading and thriving in today’s dynamic and uncertain environment.
During the brief yet impactful session, the following outcomes were achieved:
1️⃣ Strengthened individual and team leadership awareness and adaptability during times of change
2️⃣ Boosted preparedness to engage key stakeholders for optimal results and growth
3️⃣ Initiated the process of defining their “North”—a shared direction of greatness
Participants explored the N.E.W.S.® Compass and conducted a quick self-assessment, while also being introduced to the Stakeholder Map and the Greatness Model & Process.
